Detail High Endurance Inclinometer Casing

High Endurance inclinometer casing is comprised of ABS casing lengths with no machining at the end, except for an alignment notch. Casing sections of either 1.52m (5 feet) or 3.05m (10 feet) are assembled with external tight-fitting slip couplings. By construction, the High Endurance casing is therefore a very homogeneous tubing with extra reinforcement at the location of the connection between casing sections in order to ensure maximal torsional, compressive, and bending strength.

The High Endurance casing is used in situations where extra robustness is required. For instance, when the casing is installed in a soil formation or an embankment subject to relatively high settlement causing downdrag along the casing, the extra reinforcement ensures that all the strength of the casing will be mobilized. Sheer resistance of the casing at the contact between different geological formations is also improved.
